Replacing Filter Sand ( 7 easy steps! )
1. Turn off system (heater first, 10 minutes prior to pump).
2. Remove Multi Port Valve from tank - After removal, insert the bolts into tank holes to keep sand out.
3. Vacuum sand from tank.
4. Remove and inspect lateral assembly (replace if worn or damaged) - Replace laterals into tank.
5. Cover top of lateral tube with coffee cup etc. to stop new sand from going down inside the laterals.
6. Pour in required amount of sand (usually says on tank label). Remove cup. Lateral tube should be in the middle.
7. Re-install multiport valve.
